Looking at VC funding, Fintech companies raised approximately $174.4 billion across 6,644 deals in H1 2026.  

VC funding and deal volumes remained volatile, reflecting cautious investor activity in the sector. With a median VC round size of $5 million, well below the median disclosed M&A deal value, M&A opportunities continued to provide an attractive path for scale and liquidity for many FinTech companies. 

Valuations varied across FinTech segments. Wealth & Investment Tech businesses achieved the highest median exit revenue multiple at 4.2 times, followed by LendingTech at 3.1 times, and Payments Processing at 1.9 times, reflecting continued buyer demand for platforms supporting lending workflows and core payment infrastructure. Fintech public peers traded at 3.9 times revenue and 13.2 times EBITDA.
